LA band HAIM releases new video Falling.

Directed by Tabitha Denholm, who has also worked in a couple of Florence and the Machine videos, Falling has a lot of mystery, vintage clothing, and a 70's feel that referred me to Sofia Coppola's awesome movie The Virgin Suicides on a dream. Sophia DeArborne, the stylist, got a lot of the amazing clothing from LA Designer Stone Cold Fox, lots of vintage, and some ACNE and Equipment among other brands.

Shot in the deserts and mountains of California, Falling gets you to dance, the amazing song, mixed with these three sisters posing, dancing, running, living the outsides, takes you to a trip outdoor in a fuzzy but still warm day to hang out with your buddies. Watch it.

Sigur Rós – Leaning Toward Solace.

On May 2012, the project "Valtari Mystery Film Experiment" started with a bunch of filmmakers, the same budget for each one of them, and the challenge of creating whatever came to their minds when they heard the songs of Sigur Ros album, Valtari. The project ended on December the 6th, when acclaimed filmmaker Floria Sigismondi presented Leaning Toward Solace. Starring Elle Fanning and John Hawkes, this visual composition creates a whole weird atmosphere around the relationship between a sad lonely father and a misfit punk rock teenage girl.

In this blog we love choreographs. Specially if they have a twist in the story. Spanish artist and director Miguel Endara delighted us with the video Blister for the band I'm not a band. Happy, an amazing choreographed video by Wendy Morgan for C2C.

The french turntable group C2C presents us their new video Happy. Directed by Wendy Morgan, who has also directed videos like Tightrope by Jannelle Monáe and One More Chance by Bloc Party. In Happy we get to see an amazing choreograph created by King Charles, beautiful coloring and amazing costume design creating this realistic voodoo religious feeling.

Flight Facilities new video Clair de Lune.

Finally we get to see the new video from Flight Facilities featuring talented Christine Hoberg, Clair de Lune. Directed by Dave Ma. It's not the kind of song FF got us used to, this one is more nostalgic and that darkness and solitude is transmitted through Hoberg's voice. The video follows two cute bad girls going out on a night of boredom, and it develops sort of as Ridley Scott's movie Thelma & Louise. Check it out.

Directed by Christian Larson, and choreographed by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Sigur Rós, gives us a new music video from their, Mystery Film Experiment. Love, passion, energy, decay, mystery and nonverbal communication are the core of this amazing shortfilm.

Ride by Lana del Rey.

Directed by Antony Mandler and written by Lana del Rey, RIDE is a 10 minute short film. In this film we can see the proud Americana, having fun with bikers, riding through US deserts, swinging her self in a tire in the middle of nowhere. It seems like this video is some sort of biographical act she needs to do on her career right now, so she can move forward leaving behind her sixties looks and nostalgia created with National Anthem, also directed by Mandler. Don't skip the monologue, has enough drama to hook you up, ending with "I am fucking crazy. But I am free".

“I was in the winter of my life — and the men I met along the road were my only summer. At night I fell asleep with visions of myself dancing and laughing and crying with them. Three years down the line of being on an endless world tour and my memories of them were the only things that sustained me, and my only real happy times. I was a singer, not a very popular one, who once had dreams of becoming a beautiful poet — but upon an unfortunate series of events, saw those dreams dashed and divided like a million stars in the night sky that I wished on over and over again — sparkling and broken. Justice for Muttur.

With an amazing, disrupting and visceral video, the global humanitarian movement Avaaz, is asking the world to sign a petition for an investigation to be opened after the murderer of 17 aid workers of the ACF. Read what they are asking for, watch the video and sign the petition.

On the 4th August 2006, in the midst of civil war, many civilians, including 17 aid workers of Action against Hunger (ACF), were killed in the town of Muttur, in Sri Lanka. Tragically, our 17 colleagues were executed in our office, brought to their knees and shot a bullet in the head. This massacre is not only the most dramatic crime ever committed against humanitarians; it also qualifies as one of the most serious act: a war crime.

None of the three national investigations launched in Sri Lanka since 2006 came to an answer. The investigations were plagued with obstruction, interference of politics in the judiciary, lack of transparency and independence, and procedural irregularities. It is now time to ask for justice by opening an international and independent UN investigation. We must act now! Only a massive citizen mobilization can force the Sri Lankan authorities to be accountable for the horrors of the conflict. We have this opportunity today!

The Human Rights Council of the United Nations will examine the human rights records of Sri Lanka on the 1st of November, in Geneva. In this time of national reconciliation in Sri Lanka, following 26 years of civil war and 100,000 dead, it is our last chance for this war crime not to be forgotten totally. We call upon the members of the United Nations to put an end to impunity. For an UN independent investigation to be finally opened, sign this petition and share with your loved ones. Demand justice!

Our petition will be handed over to the President of the Human Rights Council of the United Nations on 22nd of October.
